Comments: Animals were immunized with human T lymphocytes that had been activated with phorbol myristic acid (PMA).

Spleen cells were fused with NSI/1 myeloma cells.

The antibody reacts with the human T cell surface protein Tp50 (CD2).

The antibody inhibits T cell proliferative responses and cytotoxicity, but does not inhibit antibody mediated cellular cytotoxicity.
